Our history can be traced back over 140 years when we laid our first sub sea telegraph cable between Malta and Alexandria. Since this time, telecommunications technology has continually evolved to the modern day where global networks support communications requirements such as mobile and fixed telephony and the Internet. Through out this time, we've developed our business to suit the constantly evolving global communications marketplace.
We're now one of the world's leading international communications companies and operate through two standalone busines units - Cable & Wireless Europe Asia and US and Cable & Wireless International.
